Kitchen Design Denver
GL: Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Jeremy! Can you tell us a little about Velocity Built?
VB: We’ve been working in Boulder County since 2002. We offer large full house remodels, kitchens, bathrooms, basements, additions, and energy efficient production. We do a lot of design work and design build. We have a lot of great reviews and aim to keep homeowners happy and satisfied. Our goal is to empower homeowners throughout project so they feel engaged. It’s always a stressful time when people are remodeling, so we try to make it as fun as possible. We hope that homeowners learn something and understand the process. Finally, we aim to keep the homeowners engaged with an open line of communication and allow them to make as many decisions as they want.
GL: That’s very important. Do you have any employees that work for you?
VB: No I don’t have any employees, but I regularly work with an amazing team of sub-contractors.
GL: What is your average turnaround time on a project?
VB: It depends on the size, but anywhere from 3 weeks to 6 months.
GL: What do you like most about this industry?
VB: Well I grew up doing this. I went to CU and got business degree, but I wanted to be on my feet and not sitting at desk. My goal is to have fun with it because I have a passion to create things and problem solve.
GL: That’s awesome. What makes your business different and unique?
VB: The feedback I get from homeowners is that they always feel listened to, understood and that their desires were taken into account. I’m not a big company, but I really try to make sure each customer feels important and valued.
GL: That’s so important. What type of clientele are you typically trying to reach out to?
VB: I mostly work with residential clients on medium to high end projects. I love working on more detail oriented stuff. Most of our work is in Boulder County.
GL: What is your background professionally?
VB: Well, like I said- I have a degree from the University of Colorado Boulder in Business Management and I also grew up on the job site working for my parents’ company. I am now a licensed residential contractor and a Colorado Native!
GL: Very cool. What goals do you have for your business?
VB: My goal is to grow a little bit and get into larger scale projects. But overall, I just want to continue providing excellent customer service to all of my clients.
GL: So you said, you’re a Colorado Native- what’s your favorite part about living here?
VB: I’m interested in everything Colorado has to offer. I’m a skiier, cyclist, runner and just really love being outside.
